This article describes an update that makes daylight saving time (DST) end date correction in Windows for the Fiji Islands. Before you install this update, see the Prerequisites section.

On the end of daylight saving time (DST), the following change is made:
- The Fiji Islands will return to Fiji Standard Time on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at 03:00.

The update that is described in this article makes changes in the DST settings for the Fiji Islands.
Note When you apply this update, you may receive a message that resembles the following:
Update cannot be installed as a newer or same time zone update has already been installed on the system.
This message indicates that either you have already applied the correct update or Windows Updates or Microsoft Update has automatically installed this update. No additional action is required to update the Windows operating system.

Method 2: Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
This update is available for installation through WSUS by using the October 13, 2020 update rollup or later update rollup, or the standalone package.
Method 3: Microsoft Update Catalog
To get the standalone package of this update for Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, and earlier versions, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog website.
Note You must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0 or a later version.
To apply this update, you must have Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 installed, or Service Pack 2 for Windows Server 2008 installed.
There are no prerequisites to apply this update on Windows Server 2012.
To apply this update, you do not have to make any changes to the registry.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update.
