The Sort Options dialog box lets you further refine how you want to sort a list or table.

Separate fields at

The Separate fields at option allows you to choose how you want Word to separate the fields in your list or table.

Select Tabs if your list separates information by tabs. Select Commas if your list separates information by commas. Select Other to designate a unique identifier such as a space to designate that fields are separated by that unique identifier.

Sort Options

Use the Sort Options to indicate how Word should perform the sort.

Select Sort column only to only sort the column. Select the Case sensitive check box to make the sort case sensitive or clear this option to make the sort case insensitive.

Sorting language

In the Sorting language drop-down list, select the language that you want Word to use when sorting.
