This article describes the update for daylight saving time (DST) changes for Israel and Greenland in Windows Embedded Compact 2013.
REMINDER Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for Windows Embedded Compact 2013 must be installed.
Changes by location
Israel
In the month of May 2023, our internal Customer Support team reported an error, which was affecting Daylight Saving Time (DST) in Israel for events that were scheduled for March 2024 and onwards. This was resulting in the meeting times in Israel being off by one hour. On further investigation, it was realized that it was happening due to a missing registry in one of the internal systems.

Greenland
By the order of the government of Greenland, a new law has been passed on the determination of time in the country. The law stipulates that:

Greenland's standard time will be UTC-2 from 25 March 2023, instead of UTC-3.
-
Greenland will not switch to Daylight Saving Time this year, 2023, as the standard time for Greenland will change from UTC-3 to UTC-2.
-
Greenland will change to Daylight Saving Time again in 2024 and onwards.

Download information
The Windows Embedded Compact 2013 Monthly Update (September 2023) is now available from Microsoft. To download the update, go to the Device Partner Center (DPC).
Prerequisites
This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.
Restart requirement
After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.

On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
Update replacement
This update does not replace any other updates.
