Generative erase is an AI-powered feature in Windows Photos that allows you to remove unwanted objects from your photos with ease without disrupting the background behind them. It uses machine learning to predict what the pixels would look like without the object in place, based on the surrounding area.
Erase an object with generative erase
Here's how to use generative erase to remove an object from your photo:

Open your image in Windows Photos.

Select Erase. The Erase (AI) tool will be selected by default.

Use the brush tool to brush over the area containing the object you wish you remove. As you make individual brush strokes, generative erase will apply the effect.

If you need to select a more refined area before applying the generative erase effect for more precise results, first, set Auto-apply to Off, and then use the brush tool to select the area containing the object you wish to remove, using the Add to mask or Remove from mask modes as needed to modify the selected area. When you are done, select Apply, and generative erase will apply the effect to the selected area.
