Prerequisites

To install this service pack, you must have Microsoft FRx 6.7 installed.Note We strongly recommend that you apply Microsoft FRx 6.7 Service Pack 9 (SP9) before you apply Microsoft FRx 6.7 SP10. If you need to remove SP10, data damage may occur if SP9 was not applied first.

Installation information

Double-click the service pack program file to start the installer.
When the Welcome window appears, click Next.
The Microsoft Software License Terms appears. Read the terms, click I Agree, and then click Next.
Click FRx Report Designer, FRx Report Launcher, FRx DrillDown Viewer, FRx Report Manager, and FRx Report Wizard. Then, click Next.
Verify that the default destination folder is correct, or click Browse to open a different destination folder. Then, click Next. Note If you used a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path when you originally installed Microsoft FRx, enter the UNC path.
Click Next to start updating the files.
After the installer has updated the Microsoft FRx core files, you receive the following message:

Installation Completed!
Click Finish to exit the installer.

The following table describes problems that are fixed in Microsoft FRx 6.7 Service Pack 10.

FRx Designer	You cannot select a specific building block, and then view the associated building blocks.
FRx Designer	A "DynaZip UnZIP" error occurs when you export a large report to Microsoft Excel, and then you send an e-mail message from the reporting tree.
FRx Designer	When you select the "Use rounded values for calculations and totals" option in the catalog together with the SR option in a calculation column, the column displays zero cents in the amount instead of the unrounded amount.
FRx Designer	You receive an error message when you generate a report that uses a CCAVG row format code together with a YTD column that has both currency translation and 365 periods: “An error has occurred while setting the filters for the CCAVG YTD columns"
FRx Designer	If you name your company, and you use an at sign (@) to show that the company is the legal entity, the header on a report ignores the at sign (@).
FRx Designer	When you generate a report that uses the X0 print control and the non-printing (NP) print control in the column layout, the report displays the amounts to the left of the DESC column.
FRx Designer	When a report uses a tree that does not have data for some units, the NP column appears in the generated report. This problem occurs when the column layout has a column that has the X0 print control selected, and another column that has the NP print control selected.
FRx Designer	Headers appear for columns that contain data in non-printing rows.
FRx Designer	When you export from FRx DrillDown Viewer to Excel multiple times, the export process slows.
FRx Designer	If you use a PI row together with a CALC column, you receive an error message when you export to an Excel (.xls) file and you select export formulas: "Error 5: invalid procedure call or argument"
FRx Designer	A large tree that uses security in Column P performs slowly when you open FRx DrillDown Viewer.
FRx Designer	You receive an error message when you generate to Excel and you use the Missing Exception Report option: "Error 6 Overflow"
FRx Designer	When you use a 0.0000 special format mask in a column layout, the report shows "0.0000" instead of the actual numbers.
FRx Designer	When you use the Currency Symbol (CS) print control option in a row format, the mask that is used for the decimal places is based on the catalog's rounding setting instead of on the international format mask that is documented as defined for the company.
FRx Designer	When no rate is specified for the first day of the month, and the average method that is used is the sum of the rates divided by the number of rates, the calculated AVGMONTHLY exchange rate is incorrect.
FRx Designer	You receive an "Error 5" error message when you export a large report to an Excel PivotTable.
FRx Designer	You receive an error message when you generate a PivotChart that has tree security: “Error 5 Invalid procedure call”
FRx Designer	When you have selected "Network ID" as the Microsoft FRx security method, users who have "FRx Report viewer only" rights can access FRx Designer.
FRx Designer	Total (TOT) rows do not foot when you use a plus sign (+) together with French (Canadian) regional settings in a TOT row.
FRx Designer	You cannot secure multiple catalogs and companies by using Microsoft FRx Security.
FRx Designer	When Microsoft FRx builds a tree by using a segment other than the natural segment, and the "Get unit name from segment code" option is selected, Microsoft FRx builds the unit codes by using three question mark characters (???) for the other segments.
FRx Designer	When you generate or export a report to Excel, the paper size is set to A4 in the Excel workbook.
FRx Designer	You receive an error message when you paste a row that contains an account whose number is larger than 32767, and then you save a row format: “Run-time error '-2147352566 (8002000a)'”
FRx Designer	Microsoft FRx creates an .xml file that contains database logon and password information in a work directory.
FRx Designer	You receive an error message when you access Microsoft FRx through Terminal Services, and then you generate the report: “Invalid Work Drive”
FRx Designer	TWhen you use Excel, the worksheet tab name is case-sensitive.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	Microsoft FRx prints negative amounts in red.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	When you use an international format mask that has the GBP currency symbol outside the parentheses for negative amounts, the amount does not print correctly. Negative amounts appear together with the currency symbol inside the parentheses.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	When you print a report, and you select to print the account details, the details do not print if you change the page orientation in the Printer Setup window.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	When you use a T-code type of column in a column layout, the T-code column takes up space at the financial level and the account level for that column even though no data appears at those levels.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	When you drill down to the summary level of a tree that uses row linking, the order of accounts is reversed from the order that is listed in the General Ledger row format.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	You receive an error message when you change the printer setup before you print a detail report from DrillDown Viewer: “FRx DrillDown Viewer; Financial Window has been closed, cannot re-display account detail. Reopen the Financial Statement window and drill down on the report row again”
FRx DrillDown Viewer	When you use Begin Box (BXB) format codes or Close Box (BXC) format codes together with the conditional column print control box option, and the condition is false, an additional box appears at the far left side of FRx DrillDown Viewer.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	You receive an error message when you print in landscape format from FRx DrillDown Viewer: "Run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)'"
FRx DrillDown Viewer	FRx DrillDown Viewer does not have an option not to print hidden columns.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	You receive an error message when you try to save a change to the FRx DrillDown Viewer file after you hide a column: “Run-time error 91: Object variable or With block variable not set”
FRx DrillDown Viewer	FRx DrillDown Viewer stops responding after you scroll to the second page that has transaction details.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	The scroll button in FRx DrillDown Viewer disappears when you scroll past the second page.
FRx DrillDown Viewer	You receive an error message when you scroll down in FRx DrillDown Viewer, and a DESC column exists that uses an NP print control: “Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range”
FRx Report Launcher	FRx Report Launcher users cannot change their passwords.
FRx Report Manager	You receive an error message after you use CTRL+P to print an Excel report, and then you try to click another report a Microsoft FRx report book: “Runtime Error '-2147024726 (800700aa)': Automation Error. The requested resource is in use”
FRx Report Manager	You receive an error message when you view the properties of an .frd report in FRx Report Manager: “String was not recognized as a valid DateTime”
FRx Report Manager	When you use a 10-point Times font in a report in FRx Designer, the font is readable in FRx Designer. However, the font is unreadable in a Microsoft FRx report book.
FRx Report Manager	You receive an error message when you click "Print Preview" or "Print Report Book" in a Report Manager book in an FRx Report Manager network client environment: “System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range”
FRx Report Manager	When you preview or you print an .frd file in the FRx DrillDown Viewer screen of FRx Report Manager, the columns do not align.
FRx Report Server	FRx Report Server and FRx Report Scheduler prompt you for logon information multiple times.
FRx Report Server	You receive an error message when you start an instance of FRx Report Server that is installed on Windows Server 2003 from a remote computer, and you are not an admininstrator for that instance of FRx Report Server: “Error 1000 ; unable to start remote server application”
FRx Report Server	An error message appears behind the "Catalog Queued" message when you cancel a report that is processing: “'Error 3640: Row cannot be located for updating. Some values may have been changed since it was last updated”
FRx Report Server	If you delete a processing report or a queued report, the FRx Report Server engine freezes.
FRx WebPort	Administrators can hide folders in FRx WebPort that users do not have access to by using the "Hide empty folders" option on the Options menu under FRx WebPort Administration Tools.
FRx WebPort	Microsoft FRx does not provide the ability to determine the users who are logged in to FRx WebPort.
FRx WebPort	You receive an error message when you access a report whose name contains a percent sign (%) in FRx WebPort: “Access denied”
FRx WebPort	When you generate a report that has an account that has a zero balance, the balance appears as $0.00 in FRx DrillDown Viewer. However, the balance does not appear when you publish the report to FRx WebPort.
FRx WebPort	FRx WebPort folders do not provide the option to sort alphabetically.
FRx WebPort	In FRx Web Administrator, customers cannot change their folder structure.
FRx WebPort	You receive an error message when you publish an .frd report whose name contains a percent sign (%) or a plus sign (+) to FRx WebPort: “Report Failed to Load”
FRx WebPort	After you enter connection information to an Oracle database, the index operations fails if you select the "Create or update indexes" option, and then you click "Process" on the Index Management page.
FRx WebPort	When you publish a report that uses tree security, and you have selected the "Output to e-mail" option and the "Publish report to Web" option, only the user who published the report can view the report in FRx WebPort.
FRx WebPort	When you send five reports to FRx WebPort, not all the reports appear in their folders.
FRx DirectLink	The column layout for a Microsoft Forecaster company does not have a year to date (YTD) option.
FRx DirectLink	When you use an account filter in the layout of a Microsoft Forecaster column, the results are zero.
FRx DirectLink	When you try to generate a report that uses the T_ATTR transaction code for Microsoft Dynamics AX, and the report includes a Microsoft Forecaster 7.0 company, you receive an "Error 5" error message.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When you use the Dimension Wizard to create a new company by importing the virtual map .xml document, the Dimension Wizard creates a default dimension structure for that company. However, you cannot save any edits that you make to that default dimension structure.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When you use the adjustment (ADJ) option with a YTD column, the data that Microsoft FRx retrieves includes more than the adjusting entries.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When you add a new dimension in Microsoft Dynamics AX, and you import a new virtual mapping .xml document in the Dimension Wizard, the Dimension Wizard recognizes that the mapping document is changed. However, the Dimension Wizard does not add the new dimension.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you add a company to a template that has not yet been imported through a virtual mapping document: “Given key not present”
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When you create a template, the lengths that appear are the maximum lengths of the dimension values that exist for each company. If you remove a company whose record is larger than the maximum length from the template, Microsoft FRx does not adjust the maximum lengths.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you select a company that has not been virtualized on any tables: “Already an open DataReader”
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When you create a template, and then you increase the length for a dimension, the increase is not saved for the template in the frl_template_dimensions table.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When you rebuild the chart of accounts for a Microsoft Dynamics AX company, and you use the LedgerCov table and the LedgerBudget table, Microsoft FRx deletes and then reinserts all entries in the frl_acct_code table for a company.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When the csp_ClearOldAccountCodes stored procedure dynamically builds the delete statement to maintain the frl_acct_code table, Microsoft FRx casts the segment lengths as the NVARCHAR data type. Additionally, some segments are the wrong length. Therefore, the rebuild process takes longer than you expect.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you generate a report by using a simple GL/CUR column in Microsoft FRx: “Error retrieving next balance”
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you import a virtual mapping document by using the Dimension Wizard: “Incorrect syntax near ')'”
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message in the Dimension Wizard when you import a virtual mapping document, and you must create more than one company: "Metadata processing failed"
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you generate a report that contains many full account masks in the row format: "Error 8900"
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you generate a report that uses a full account range in the row format in Microsoft FRx: “Error retrieving next balance”
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	When you import a virtual map document, metadata processing fails.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you set a Microsoft Dynamics AX company as the default after you apply the R09_HF_AX_1_SQL hotfix: “Error 8900 attempting to build segment description”
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	You receive an error message when you run a report: "Source: FSAxapta30 Error 8900: A Directlink error has occurred"
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics AX	A performance issue occurs in Microsoft FRx when you build the General Ledger index, and then you generate reports.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics GP	When you run a report for the first period of the year, and you use the /BB modifier and the @PERDESC header in the column, the report runs. However, "Period not found in Company Calendar" appears as the @PERDESC header for the column that uses the /BB modifier.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics GP	The Currency Translation amount does not bring in the correct amount if the General Ledger column is not the first General Ledger column in the column layout.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics GP	When you generate a report that uses an account category, Microsoft FRx does not check the Microsoft Dynamics GP Account Level Security.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics GP	You receive an error message when you connect to a Microsoft Forecaster company in Microsoft FRx: "CheckOFSIConnection(40048:This environment name already exists in the collect"
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics GP	When you generate a report that returns a large volume of data and that uses a CCAVG row format code together with a YTD column, the YTD columns are blank for some rows. Or, the YTD columns display incorrect data.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	You build a dimension structure for a company in which multiple occurrences of the same dimension code ID exist. The occurrences of the same dimension code ID have different dimension IDs. In this case, the "frl_seg_desc" table is populated with an incorrect dimension code.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	The data type size of the "frl_acct_code_AA.dimxx_id" field is smaller than the data type size of the "aag00401.aaTrxDimCodeI" field. Data that exceeds the smaller data type size causes the chart of accounts build process to fail.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	If you use the Account Framework window in Microsoft Dynamics GP to specify the maximum size of the natural account to be larger than nvarchar(9), you receive an error message when you rebuild the chart of accounts in Microsoft FRx.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	When an account is subtracted from a range of accounts that includes the account, the resulting balance for that row is incorrect.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	Microsoft FRx Service Pack 9 removes Analytical Accounting related files if the SysData folder is not in the FRx root folder.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	When you rebuild the chart of accounts or when you create a new dimension structure for a company that has more than five dimensions, an error occurs, and the rebuild fails.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	You receive a time-out expired error message in the Event Viewer when you try to save a dimension structure that has nine dimensions in the Microsoft Dynamics Analytical Accounting Dimension Wizard.
FRx for Microsoft Analytical Accounting	If the temp table does not have an index, reports that are generated in the Analytical Accounting company take more than an hour to generate.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics NAV	After you run a Microsoft Dynamics NAV load, the end dates in the frl_year_ctrl table are the same as the start dates when there are adjustment periods.
FRx for Microsoft Dynamics SL	You can use Windows authentication when you use FRx with Dynamics SL 7.0.
