Forefront TMG 2010 SP1 cannot write a log to a local SQL Server database
- You install an English version of Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a computer that is running a non-English version of a Windows operating system.
- You install a non-English version of TMG 2010 SP1 on a computer that is running an English version of a Windows operating system.
Additionally, the "Log formatting failure" alert is raised, and the following event entry is logged in the Application log:
Log Name: Application
Source: Microsoft Forefront TMG Control
Event ID: 8
Description: The %1 failed to log information to the SQL Server Express database %2 in the path %3. SQL Server Express error description: %4. The problem may be resolved by restarting the SQL Server Express (MSFW) service.
Note The %1, %2, %3, and %4 are placeholders for the dynamic information that is related to this event.
Note The LLQ files store the log-related data until the data can be committed to the SQL database.
