Symptoms

You have a client computer that is running Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) or Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2). When you try to print to a non-Windows-based Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) server, the print job may fail.This issue occurs if the IPP server requires basic authentication or digest authentication.

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
