Consider the following scenario in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment:
You enable the pipeline tracing feature for your email address on a Hub Transport server or on an Edge Transport server.
You send an email message to a recipient that has a redirect transport rule configured on a Hub Transport server for the recipient’s email address. This rule redirects all incoming email messages to another address.
In this scenario, the EdgeTransport.exe process crashes. Additionally, the following event is logged in the Application log:
Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchange Common Event Category: General Event ID: 4999 Description: Watson report about to be sent to dw20.exe for process id: <Process ID>, with parameters: E12, <Build Type>, <Version Number>, edgetransport, unknown, M.E.Transport, M.E.T.TransportMailItemWrapper.get_PipelineTracingPath, System.InvalidOperationException, 576, <Version Number>. ErrorReportingEnabled: False
