The Get-FederationInformation command cannot query federation information from an external Exchange organization in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 environment. This issue occurs when SSL offloading is enabled on the external Exchange organization. Therefore, you cannot establish an organization relationship with this external Exchange organization by using the results from the command. Additionally, you receive an error message that does not provide useful information on what should be done to resolve this issue.
In this situation, you receive the following error message:
Type=Failure;Url=https://autodiscover.example.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.svc;Exception=Discovery for domain example.com failed.;Details=(Type=Failure;Url=https://autodiscover.example.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.svc;Exception=The message with To 'https://autodiscover.example.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.svc' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to an AddressFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. Check that the sender and receiver's EndpointAddresses agree.;);
This issue occurs because SSL offloading causes a mismatch between HTTP and HTTPS.
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
