This article describes the issue that is fixed in the Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010 hotfix package that is dated June 26, 2012.
Assume that you create a workflow in SharePoint Designer 2010, and then you publish the workflow on a SharePoint site. Additionally, assume that you add a user by typing "admin" in the People Picker control, and then you save the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2010. In this scenario, the word "admin" is stored in a workflow definition file (.xoml file), and you receive the following error message:
Note You expect the word "admin" to be inserted as a resolved account ID.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

To install this hotfix, you must have SharePoint Designer 2010 or SharePoint Designer 2010 Service Pack 1 installed.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
