Symptoms
In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009, some data in the EDIMessageContent table of the BizTalk Tracking (BizTalkDTADb) database is not purged when the DTA Purge and Archive SQL Server Agent job runs.
When this issue occurs, the EDIMessageContent table grows very large over time. This may reduce the performance of BizTalk Server.
Note This issue may occur when you have the Activate EDI reporting property and the Store transaction set/payload for reporting property selected in the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) properties of a party.
Cause
This issue occurs because the IsReliableMessagingEntry column is set to 1 incorrectly for some rows in the EDIMessageContent table. Because this value does not change over time, the data in these rows is not purged by the DTA Purge and Archive SQL Server Agent job.
Resolution

The hotfix that resolves this issue is included in cumulative update package 5 for BizTalk Server 2009.
