To resolve this issue, install the following hotfix rollup package on the affected System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) primary site server. The installation wizard for the package creates another package for clients. To deploy the package to all clients after you run the package on the primary site server, you have to create an advertisement.Note

- Open Registry Editor. To do this, click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
- On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32 bit) Value.
- Type PackageTimeout, and then press Enter.
- On the Edit menu, click Modify.
- In the Value data box, type the customized package download time-out value, and then click OK.
- Exit Registry Editor.
If the set value is not within the range of 7 days (7*24*60*60) to 90 days (90*24*60*60), Windows uses a default of 7 days (7*24*60*60).
For example, to set the download time-out value to 18 days, the value should be set to 1555200
Restart the CCMEXEC service after you apply the registry settings.
