Image is not updated immediately when the Application. ScreenUpdating property is set to False in Excel 2010

Symptoms
Assume that the Application.ScreenUpdating property is set to False in Microsoft Excel 2010. When you capture an image by using the Camera tool, the text in the image is not immediately updated.

Note This issue occurs after you apply update 2405840 or a later version of the Excel 2010 hotfix package that fixes the issues that are described in update 2405840.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix package:

Fix it for me

To enable the hotfix, click the Fix it button or link. Then click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in the Fix it wizard.

Let me fix it myself

After you install the hotfix package, follow these steps to enable the hotfix:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then select the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Options
  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  4. Type UpdateCameraOnButtonClick, and then press Enter.
  5. In the Details pane, right-click UpdateCameraOnButtonClick, and then click Modify.
  6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
  7. Exit Registry Editor.
