Exchange RPC Client Access service crashes on an Exchange Server 2010 Mailbox server

Symptoms
The Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access service crashes on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Mailbox server. Additionally, the following Event ID 4999 is logged in the Application log:

Description:
Watson report about to be sent for process id: Process ID, with parameters: E12, Build Type, Version Number, M.E.RpcClientAccess.Service, M.E.Data.Storage, M.E.D.S.ServerPerformanceObject.StopAndCollectPerformanceData, System.InvalidOperationException, XXXX, Version Number.

Cause
This issue is caused by a MAPI_E_CORRUPT_DATA error that occurs when the Exchange Server 2010 Mailbox server tries to process a certain property. Then, the Exchange RPC Client Access service crashes because it cannot handle the MAPI_E_CORRUPT_DATA error.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
2746164 Description of Update Rollup 6 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2
