This article describes the issue that is fixed in the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 hotfix package that is dated July 10, 2013.
Issue that this hotfix package fixes
Assume that you right-click on a PowerPoint 2010 file in Windows Explorer, and then click Print. In this situation, the file does not print. Additionally, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup. Try one or more of the following: Check the printer by printing a test page from Windows. Make sure the printer is turned on and online. Reinstall the printer driver.
Note This issue is known to occur when you use the driver for the Xerox WorkCentre 7556 printer. However, the issue may also occur when you use drivers for other printers.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
