This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Outlook 2013 hotfix package that is dated November 11, 2014. Click the "Hotfix Download Available" button to get the hotfix.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you use Outlook 2013 to send an email message that only contains recipients on the Bcc line, you may also receive this message.

  • When you move items from the Inbox folder to a subfolder in Outlook 2013, the recipients on the To or Cc lines are duplicated.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You configure your Outlook.com email account by using the Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) protocol in Outlook 2013.

    • You create a calendar item in Outlook, and let it sync to Outlook.com.

    • You open the item, make a change, and then you click the Copy To My Calendar button.

    • You click No on the prompt dialog box to save the change.

In this scenario, Outlook creates a copy of the item. However, this item is not synced to Outlook.com.

  • Assume that you configure your Outlook.com email account by using the EAS protocol in Outlook 2013. When you create too many calendar items, Outlook may stop syncing.

  • You set up an email account in Outlook 2010, and then you connect it to a SharePoint list. After you upgrade to Outlook 2013, Outlook creates a duplicated SharePoint list.

  • Assume that you open an email item by using a mail app. When the item does not have the PR_CONVERSATION_ID property and related properties stamped, Outlook may crash.

  • Assume that you create a new calendar item in Outlook 2013. Then, you click Scheduling Assistant > Options > AutoPick, and you select All People and One Resource. In this situation, Outlook may pick a resource at a time when the resource is busy.

  • When you delete some selected email messages from a folder in Outlook 2013 by clicking the Delete button in the ribbon, these message items may still appear in the list, even though they are actually deleted.

  • Assume that you change the Compact Navigation option setting in the Navigation Options dialog box in Outlook 2013. Then, you save the setting, and close Outlook. When you restart Outlook, the setting is missing.

  • Assume that you receive a recurring Lync meeting item in Outlook 2013. Then, you forward it to a new attendee. In this situation, some UI buttons of the meeting item are missing in the session of the new attendee.

  • This hotfix enables Outlook 2013 to send IMAP ID extension information to the IMAP servers that support ID RFC.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • The mailboxes of user A and user B are both hosted on an on-premises Exchange Server.

    • User A grants the Reviewer permission on his calendar to user B.

    • You migrate both of their mailboxes from the on-premises Exchange Server to Exchange Online.

    • User B connects to his mailbox by using Outlook 2013, and tries to open the Calendar items from the calendar of user A as Reviewer.

In this scenario, user B cannot open those items in the calendar of user A.

  • A memory leak may occur if you enable the troubleshooting logging for Outlook 2013. (To enable the logging, click File > Options > Advanced, and select the check box of the Enable troubleshooting logging option.)
