FIX: You experience query failure when you run MDX queries in SSAS 2008

When you run some Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) queries that contain one or more named sets and use a Crossjoin function in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008), you may experience query failure. If you check the Msmdsrv.log, an entry that resembles the following may be present: 
Message:  (Source: \\?\\msmdsrv.log, Type: 3, Category: 256, Event ID: 0xC1000016)

Corresponding error in the NT App Event Log: 

Error <Time> MSOLAP 22 (256) "The description for Event ID 22 from source <AnalysisServerName> cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Internal error: An unexpected exception occurred.

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.
