Meeting request body and instructions are lost in delegate's auto-forwarded meeting request

Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a resource mailbox in an environment that has Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 or a later version update rollup installed, or Cumulative Update 3 for Exchange Server 2013.
  • You set a delegate for the resource mailbox by running the Set-CalendarProcessing cmdlet.
  • A meeting request is sent to the resource mailbox.
  • The resource delegate receives an auto-forwarded invitation.
In this scenario, the resource delegate cannot see the original meeting request body or the added instructions.
