Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a computer that is running Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2.

  • You download and install more than 100 updates in Windows Update, or Automatic Updates does so on your behalf.

  • You go to the modern settings page to view the Windows Update history.

In this scenario, the oldest Windows updates are displayed. However, you expect to see the most recent updates. Additionally, depending on the types of updates that have been installed, you may see fewer than 100 updates listed in the Windows Update history.
