FIX: Result of aggregated values is incorrect when you execute an MDX query in SSAS 2012 or SSAS 2014

Assume that you have a cube that contains unary operators (~) on a regular dimension in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012). Additionally, a scope assignment is defined on the dimension members that have a unary operator (~). When you execute a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query to retrieve aggregated values on the cube, the result of the aggregated values is incorrect.
Install this Cumulative Update (CU) is not enough to have the correct result. Additionally, you have to change the value of CloneCoverItemForClosestWins to 1 in msmdsrv.ini. This parameter can have a performance impact.

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:

Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2014 SP1

Cumulative Update 8 for SQL Server 2014

Cumulative Update 6 for SQL Server 2012 SP2
