Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

Implement a Master Data Services solution on a non-English version of Microsoft SQL Server 2014.

Create a DateTime attribute, and select "DD/MM/YYYY" from the Input mask list.

Filter the data on the DateTime attribute in MDS Explorer.
In this scenario, you may experience an error.
For example, when you filter the data by using a filter criteria in the date format "MM/DD/YYYY" and the day value is larger than 12, you receive the following error message:
241: Database error: Contact your system administrator
Resolution
The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.

Cumulative Update 8 for SQL Server 2014 /en-us/help/3067836
