Assume that the contact list is updated in Microsoft Lync for Mac 2011 on a slow network connectivity. When you type a presence note at the top of the Lync main window, the previous presence note overwrites what you just typed in.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install the update for Lync for Mac 2011 14.1.1.
