"Out of Office" status note continues to show beyond the specified time period in Lync 2013 (Skype for Business)

Consider the following scenario:
  • A user creates a meeting or an appointment on Outlook calendar with the Show As setting set to Out of Office.
  • You have not signed out of or exited Microsoft Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) since the user set Out of Office on the calendar item.
  • You view the user in your contact list after the user's Out of Office status ended in Outlook calendar.
In this scenario, the presence note of the user still displays the Out of Office note as shown below:

To fix this issue, install the June 7, 2016, update (KB3115033) for Lync 2013 (Skype for Business).

Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
