FIX: Managed Backup Retention-based cleanup task fails because of a query time-out in SQL Server 2014 SP1 or SP2

Assume that you enable SQL Server Managed Backup to Windows Azure on a database in Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or SP2. When the retention-based cleanup task executes the RESTORE HEADERONLY statement on large backup blobs, the execution may time out. Therefore, the retention-based cleanup task fails.

This issue occurs because the default ADO.NET command time-out value is 30 seconds. However, the execution of the RESTORE HEADERONLY statement may exceed 30 seconds. This results in the time-out.
The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server: Recommendation: Install the latest cumulative update for SQL Server
Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. We recommend that you download and install the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:
