A data flush task may cause a deadlock condition when queries are executed on a memory-optimized table in SQL Server 2016

If an ALTER TABLE query on a system-versioned memory-optimized table in SQL Server 2016 when a data flush task is moving records from the in-memory internal buffer to the disk-based history table, a deadlock condition may occur.
