FIX: Queries that use CHANGETABLE use much more CPU in SQL Server 2014 SP1 or in SQL Server 2016
Assume that you have installed the Cumulative Update 6 for Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or you are using Microsoft SQL Server 2016. When you run a query that contains a CHANGETABLE function, it may use much more CPU than before.
Service pack informationThis issue was fixed in the SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1 (SP1). See the SQL Server 2016 build versions.
Cumulative update informationThe issue was fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server:
- Cumulative update 3 for SQL Server 2016
- Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2014 SP2
- Cumulative Update 9 for SQL Server 2014 SP1
Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. We recommend that you download and install the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:
