If you imported your data when setting up the new Microsoft Edge , your extensions were included as part of the import process. However, only extensions found in the new Microsoft Edge add-ons website can be imported.

We’re continuously working with extension developers to publish their extensions in the Microsoft Edge add-ons website, and we’ll be adding more extensions in the months ahead.

How can I get extensions not available on the Microsoft Edge add-ons website?

If you don’t see the extension you want in the Microsoft Edge add-ons website, you can install extensions from a Chromium-compatible extension store like the Chrome Web Store.

  1. Go to the Chrome Web Store.

  2. Select Allow extensions from other stores in the banner at the top of the page.

  3. Select the extension you'd like to add, and select Add to Chrome.

  4. At the prompt showing permissions required by the extension, carefully review the permissions, and select Add extension.

  5. You'll see a final prompt confirming the extension has been added.

Why is Microsoft Translator not in the new Microsoft Edge add-ons website?

Because the new Microsoft Edge  includes a built-in Translate feature, we haven't included Microsoft Translator in the Microsoft Edge add-ons website. Please note that the Translate icon  Show translate options icon  only appears in the address bar when you go to a web page in a foreign language.

A language is considered foreign to you if it's not in your preferred languages list in settings. You can add or remove languages from this list by going to edge://settings/languages or selecting Settings and more  > Settings  > Languages.

You can always translate a webpage by right-clicking and selecting Translate from the right-click menu. We're also working on a feature that will allow you to translate text you've selected. Expect to see this feature soon.
