Days Past Due on the RM Aged Trial Balance with Options

Is is possible to print the Days Past Due for each Invoice on the RM Aged Trial Balance with Options?

Answer:

Yes. You will need to make these modifications in Report Writer as follows:

Go into Report Writer (Tools - Customize - Report Writer).

Opening the Report:

Click on the Reports icon from the top menu bar.

From the Original Reports side, highlight the RM Detail Aged Trial Balance - Options and choose insert.

Then on the Modified Reports side, highlight the same report and choose the Open button.

In the Report Definition window choose the Layout button.

Calculated Fields:

In the Toolbox choose Calculated Fields from the drop-down list.

Then choose the New button.

In the Calculated Field Definition window, type Days Past Due as the name.

For the Result type choose Integerfrom the drop-down list.

The Expression Type should be Conditional.

Place your cursor in the Conditional Expression.

Choose the Fields tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Report Table and choose RM Document Temporary File.

Click on the drop-down list for Table Fields and choose RM Document Type-All and choose the Add button.

In the operators section, choose the = button.

Choose the Constants Tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Type and choose Integer.

Type 1 in the Constants field, and choose the Add button.

In the operators section, choose the AND button.

In the operators section, choose the ( button.

Click on the drop-down list for Report Table and choose RM Document Temporary File.

Click on the drop-down list for Table Fields and choose Current Trx Amount and choose the Add button.

In the operators section, choose the <> button.

Choose the Constants Tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Type and chooseCurrency.

Type 0.00000 in the Constants field, and choose the Add button.

In the operators section, choose the ) button.

Place your cursor in the True Case.

Choose the Fields tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Report Table and choose System Variables.

Click on the drop-down list for Table Fields and choose User Date and choose the Add button.

In the operators section, choose the - button.

Choose the Fields tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Report Table and choose RM Document Temporary File.

Click on the drop-down list for Table Fields and choose Due Date and choose the Add button.

Place your cursor in the False Case.

Choose the Constants Tab.

Click on the drop down list for Type and choose Integer.

Type 0 in the Constants field, and choose the Add button.

The Conditional Expression should read:

RM_Document_TEMP.RM Document Type - All = 1 AND (RM_Document_TEMP.Current Trx Amount <> 0.00000)

True Case: User Date - RM_Document_TEMP.Due Date

False Case: 0

Choose the OK button.

In the Toolbox choose Calculated Fields from the drop-down list.

Then choose the New button.

In the Calculated Field Definition window, type Days Past Due2 as the name.

For the Result type choose Integer from the drop-down list.

The Expression Type should be Conditional.

Place your cursor in the Conditional Expression.

Choose the Fields tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Report Table and chooseCalculated Fields.

Click on the drop-down list for Table Fields and choose Days Past Due and choose the Add button.

In the operators section, choose the < button.

Place your cursor in theTrue Case.

Choose the Constants Tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Type and chooseInteger.

Type 0 in the Constants field, and choose the Add button.

Place your cursor in theFalse Case.

Choose the Fields tab.

Click on the drop-down list for Report Table and choose Calculated Fields.

Click on the drop-down list for Table Fields and choose Days Past Due and choose the Add button.

The Conditional Expression should read:

Days Past Due < 0

True Case: 0

False Case: Days Past Due

Choose the OK button.

Bringing fields onto the report:

In the Toolbox choose Calculated Fields from the drop-down list.

In the scrolling window find Days Past Due2 and drag it into the H2 section on the report.

In the report layout, double-click on the field that was just put on the report.

In the Report Field Options window, be sure the Display Type is set to Hide When Empty.

Set the Field Type to Data.

Choose the OK button.

Leaving Report Writer:

Choose the X from the top right corner of the Report Layout window.

Save your changes.

Click OK in the Report Definition window.

From the top menu bar, choose File - Great Plains Dynamics.

Give users access to the modified report in the Security Setup window (Setup - System - Security) within Dynamics.
