Is is possible to print the Days Past Due for each Invoice on the RM Aged Trial Balance with Options?


Answer:

Yes. You will need to make these modifications in Report Writer as follows:


Go intoReport Writer (
Tools -Customize -Report Writer).


Opening the Report:


Click on the
Reportsicon from the top menu bar.


From the
Original Reportsside, highlight the
RM Detail Aged Trial Balance - Optionsand choose
insert.


Then on the
Modified Reportsside, highlight the same report and choose the
Openbutton.


In the
Report Definitionwindow choose the
Layoutbutton.


Calculated Fields:


In the
Toolboxchoose
Calculated Fieldsfrom the drop-down list.


Then choose the
Newbutton.


In the
Calculated Field Definitionwindow, type
Days Past Dueas the name.


For the
Result typechoose
Integer
from the drop-down list.


The
Expression Typeshould be
Conditional.


Place your cursor in the
Conditional Expression.


Choose the
Fieldstab.


Click on the drop-down list for
Report Tableand choose
RM Document Temporary File.


Click on the drop-down list for
Table Fieldsand choose
RM Document Type-Alland choose the
Addbutton.


In the
operatorssection, choose the
=button.


Choose the
ConstantsTab.


Click on the drop-down list for
Typeand choose
Integer.


Type
1in the
Constantsfield, and choose the

Integerfrom the drop-down list.

Bringing fields onto the report:


In the
Toolboxchoose
Calculated Fieldsfrom the drop-down list.


In the scrolling window find
Days Past Due2and drag it into the
H2section on the report.


In the report layout,double-click on the fieldthat was just put on the report.


In the
Report Field Optionswindow, be sure the
Display Typeis set to
Hide When Empty.


Set the
Field Typeto
Data.


Choose the
OKbutton.


Leaving Report Writer:

Choose the
Xfrom the top right corner of the
Report Layout window.


Save your changes.


Click
OKin the
Report Definitionwindow.


From the top menu bar, choose
File - Great Plains Dynamics.


Give users access to the modified report in the
Security Setupwindow (
Setup - System - Security) within Dynamics.
