Consider the following scenario. A Windows Server 2008-based computer is joined to a Windows Server 2003 R2-based domain. You run the DFSRAdmin command-line tool (Dfsradmin.exe) on the Windows Server 2008 member server to set membership properties. In this scenario, Dfsradmin.exe may fail. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
MemberName (FolderName): The property MemberSubscriptionReadOnly cannot be used. The schema in the DomainName domain does not support the property.
For example, you receive this error message when you run the following command to enable a replication membership:
dfsradmin membership set /rgName:GroupName /rfName:FolderName /memName:MemberName /localPath:LocalPath /isPrimary:true /membershipEnabled:true /force
