Summary
Some browser extensions in Microsoft Edge can change important browser settings such as the default search engine, new tab page, and site preferences. To protect your browser preferences, security, and privacy, Microsoft Edge automatically disables extensions that attempt to modify your default settings without permission. This article explains how Microsoft Edge manages extension behavior and how you can turn on an extension that has been disabled.
You can change settings for your extensions at any time.
To turn on an extension:
-
At the top corner of the browser, select Settings and more > Extensions.
-
Select Manage extension.
-
Locate the extension you'd like to turn on, then select the toggle to turn it on.
