Birthday events are attached to personal contacts and, by default, show up in the calendar.

On the left of classic Outlook window, select the
 People icon or press Ctrl+3, and open a contact. -
On the Contact tab, select Details and enter a date in the Birthday box.

Tip: The default reminder is 15 minutes. To change the reminder time, right-click the birthday, select Open, and set theÂ

In new Outlook, on the navigation bar on the left, selectÂ
 People. -
In the contact list, select the check box next to the contact you wish to add a birthday for.

On the Home tab, selectÂ
 Edit. In the dialog, select  ​​​​​​​Other. -
Enter the birth date, then select Save.
