In December 2024, Delve web will be retired. After that time, it will no longer be included in Microsoft 365 and will no longer be supported. Until then, support for Delve will continue and users can expect the same experience as today.
To make the transition off Delve as smooth as possible, this article explains where else you can find similar features to Delve.
One key value Delve offers is to find documents relevant to you on Delve's home page. You can get a similar experience on the Office home page, the Office web apps (Word, Excel, Power Point) and in OneDrive web. Look for the recommended section close to the top of the pages in the Office options and For you in OneDrive.
Finding information and documents through people is a great way to use Delve. You can search for people in the search box or navigate through organizational view. A similar experience is offered in the files section of profile cards and you can also use search in SharePoint or on Office home. Try searching for a person and click on them to see profile data and files related to the person. You will find the experience just as good or even better than what is offered in Delve today.
Profile cards are a great source for finding information about your colleagues. You can view contact information, organizational information, topics, your latest messages, shared files, and more. Availability of the different types of information might depend on your work or school's policies and configuration, and also what you have shared in your profile.
Note: Delve surfaces user profile properties are specific to your tenant and will be surfaced on the profile card. It will be similar to how AAD properties are added and it will happen before Delve is retired.
Favorites and boards within Delve can't be accessed as favorites or boards in other locations outside of Delve. We recommend that you start using the favorites feature in OneDrive and Office.com. This makes favorites available in the web app for the office formats. For example, you can favorite a Word document on a SharePoint site or in OneDrive. When opening Word for the web you can easily access that favorite file. You can also see a list of favorites on Office.com/mycontent (Favorites) or in OneDrive.

Editing your profile is still something you do in Delve, but we are working on a new edit profile experience that is tightly coupled to the profile cards. Today the edit button on the profile cards takes you to Delve. This will change and you can edit your profile right there in the experience you already are in. More information will be shared as soon as we start rolling out this new feature in the second half of 2024.
Although documents and profile data show in Delve, they are not stored in Delve. When Delve retires only Delve-specific data will be lost.
Data that will be lost:
-
List of favorited documents - not the document, but the fact that you tagged it as a favorite.
-
List of favorited boards - not the board or documents in the board, but the fact that you tagged it as a favorite.
-
List of any people you recently have viewed in Delve.
You can export data before December 16, 2024, in Delve. Select Settings > Feature settings > Export data.
