If the organizer has not set up a lobby in meeting options, then anyone can start the meeting by just joining. For more info on the lobby, see Lobby options for meetings.Â
If the organizer has set up a lobby, then either the organizer or co-organizer needs to open the meeting before you can enter. For more info on adding a co-organizer, see Add co-organizers to a meeting in Teams.
