Choose a slide, and on the Design tab, selectÂ
 Format Background. -
In the Format Background pane, do one of the following:

Select Solid fill or Gradient fill, and choose Color and Transparency.

Select Picture or texture fill, and choose a Picture source and other properties.Â

Select Pattern Fill, choose a pattern and set foreground and background colors.Â

To apply to one slide, close the Format Background pane or select Apply to All for all slides.
Tip:Â To remove the background, see Remove the background of a slide.Â

Choose a slide, and on the Design tab, selectÂ
 Format Background. -
In the Format Background pane, do one of the following:

Do one of the following:

Select Solid Fill, then choose a color from the gallery.

Select Insert Picture, then navigate to the picture file, select it, and choose Open (or Insert).

Your choice is applied to the current slide. To apply it to all slides, select Background and choose Apply to All.Â
