You can grab ready to use images without background from photos or PDFs using Microsoft 365 (Office). You can take actions such as Copy and Share directly on this extracted image or Refine the image to add or remove required areas. Just tap on the desired action and reuse the content seamlessly!
Where is this experience available within Microsoft 365 (Office)?
Image copy flow is available as a part of Deep-scan which is available across the scenarios below:

Image edit screen (screen that comes after a new image capture)

Over PDFs using the icon to copy or share text or images
How to initiate Image copy over photos?

Initiate Deep-scan flow by clicking on this icon over images.

Tap on the white dot that appears on the image.

It will extract the image without the background and show a set of available actions – Copy, Share, and Refine. Tap on the desired action.

For refining the image, tap on Refine.

Select Add or Remove to erase or add required section. Drag your finger over the section that you want to add or remove, select Confirm once you're done.
Tip: For the best results, use a good resolution image.

The entire process happens locally on the device when certain conditions* are met. For other devices, image extraction would need connectivity to the internet.
