On the Insert tab, select
 SmartArt. Choose a style from the options on the left side of the dialog box (Process and Cycle options work nicely for flowcharts). -
Choose a substyle from the center pane of the dialog box to see samples and select OK when you find a suitable flowchart.

Replace the placeholder text with your own words. Use the SmartArt Design and Format tabs to change design, color, fonts, etc.Â

On the Insert tab, select

Control+click a shape and choose Change Shape to pick Flowchart shapes.

Use the Flowchart shapes to build your flowchart. Use the SmartArt Design and Format tabs to change design, color, fonts, etc.Â

On the Insert tab, selectÂ
 Drawing and choose  Shapes. -
Choose shapes from the Flowchart gallery and draw them in the Drawing (Preview) window.Â

Add text, fills, and outlines, and select Save and Close. Double-click the chart to edit it.
Tip:Â Select a shape, press Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V to make copies of a formatted shape.Â
To create a flowchart using SmartArt, use Word for the desktop.Â

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop.
