Crop a picture

Select the picture.

On the Picture Format tab, select  Crop and choose Auto Crop:

PowerPoint suggests a crop that emphasizes the primary object in the picture. To accept the suggestion, select the Crop button again. To makes adjustments, continue with step 3.

Drag the handles inward or outward to crop the image. Drag the picture itself to re-center the area.

Select the Crop button again to save your changes.

Select the picture. 

On the Picture tab, select  Crop.

Drag the handles inward or outward to crop the image. Drag the picture itself to re-center the area.

To save your changes, select the Crop button again, or press Esc.
