  1. Select the cells that should have the drop-down, on the Data tab, select  Data validation button Data Validation.

  2. In the Allow drop-down, choose List.

  3. For Source, do one of the following:

    • Type drop-down items separate by commas, like Yes,No,Maybe.

    • Choose a range by typing =Range_Name.

    • Select the Source field, then click and drag a list of values from a row or column in the worksheet.
