If the Designer button is missing, make sure you have a Microsoft 365 subscription.

If the Designer button is grayed out, make sure you've selected a single slide, and check your internet connection.

If no ideas are showing in the Designer pane:

Use a PowerPoint-provided theme rather than a custom theme.

Make sure you have either Title or Title and content slide layout applied.

Check your internet connection.
