Select the File tab and select Info.

Select Enable Editing.
Note:Â If someone else created the document, they might not allow editing. You can ask the document owner to enable editing. Or go to File > Save as, save it with another name, and edit the new document.

In the upper-right corner of the app, selectÂ
 Viewing > Editing.If you're not allowed to switch to editing view, it's possible that the document author or your system administrator has rules established that prevent leaving Protected View. Contact one of them to get editing permissions.
If you:

see an open for read-only message when you open a document, select No to instead open it for editing.

are prompted for a password, type it and select OK.

are in the document and can't edit it, follow these steps:

On the Review tab, selectÂ
 Protect Presentation. -
Under Protection, clear the Protect document for check box. If prompted, enter the password and select OK.
