Designer is most effective in these situations:

You're starting a new, blank presentation

You're starting a new slide
-
You want to arrange information effectively on an existing slide
To see design suggestions:

Select a slide that you'd like to change the design of.

Select Home >
Designer. -
To apply a design suggestion to your slide, select it in the Designer pane.
Tip: If you don't see Designer or it's not giving you suggestions, see Troubleshoot Designer.
Designer is most effective in these two scenarios:

You've just started a new, blank presentation. Write your title, then Designer will suggest a photo, plus a color scheme for your whole presentation.

You've created a slide that has words and 0-4 photos. Designer will suggest layouts that help communicate your message.
