To hide text:

  1. Select the text to hide and on the Home tab, select the  Dialog launcher 12px Font dialog box launcher in the Font group.

  2. Under Effects, choose Hidden and select OK.

To unhide text:

  1. Select the lines or pages with the hidden text or press Ctrl+A to select everything.

  2. On the Home tab, select the  Dialog launcher 12px Font dialog box launcher in the Font group.

  3. Under Effects, clear the check box next to Hidden and select OK.

Important: To see which text is hidden and will not appear when printed, on the File tab, select Options and choose Display. Under Always show these formatting marks on the screen, select the check box next to Hidden text and select OK. Hidden text is now visible with a light gray underline.
