How do I validate my college or university email in GroupMe?

Before you can search and join groups at your college or university, you will be prompted to validate your college/university email address to access your school’s community. This is the email address your college or university assigned you, and not your personal email address.

Note: Campus Connect is currently only available for colleges, trade schools, and universities.

  1. Tap Campus Connect  Campus Connect button and then Get Started.

  2. On the Join your school community page, enter your college/university email address (the email address provided by your college or university), then select Get PIN.

  3. When you get your PIN at your school email address, enter it in the PIN field, then select the check mark  Done button. What do I do if I didn’t get my PIN?

What if my college or university isn’t listed?

If you enter your college/university email address and receive an error that says No communities found for this email, please contact customer support.

  1. Sign in to GroupMe.

  2. Select Campus Connect Campus Connect button  on the left side of the screen.

  3. Enter your college/university email address (the email address provided by your college or university), then select Get PIN.
