General

We couldn’t evaluate this function because you don’t have the required license.

You need to sign in to access this information.

This data type is currently not supported in your region.

You're unable to view data types because of your current privacy settings.

To allow viewing, do the following:

  1. Open the Trust Center: Select File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.

  2. Under Security settings for linked data types, do one of the following:

  • To have Excel prompt users to allow viewing of data types, select Prompt user about linked data types.

  • To have Excel always allow viewing of data types, select Enable all linked data types (not recommended).

This connected data type can't be retrieved or updated by this version of Excel.

Open the document in a desktop version of Excel (Windows or macOS), or in Excel for the web.

Blocking

We couldn't evaluate this function because of an application or system setting.

External connections to other workbooks are not allowed.

Check the permission on the file, Select Enable Content on the trust bar, or check the security and privacy options in the Microsoft Office Trust Center

Linked Data Types can't resolve because they are blocked by a Trust Center setting.

To unblock them, do the following:

  1. Open the Trust Center: Select File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.

  2. Under Security settings for linked data types, do one of the following:

  • To have Excel prompt users to allow viewing of data types, select Prompt user about linked data types.

  • To have Excel always allow viewing of data types, select Enable all linked data types (not recommended).

Functions with Excel 4.0 (XLM) macros can't be evaluated for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Excel 4.0 (XLM) macros are turned off because of macro settings.

  • Excel 4.0 (XLM) macros aren't supported in current version of Excel.

The URL of the source argument must use the https protocol.

The maximum size of the image specified in the source argument is exceeded.

The maximum size of the file is exceeded.

The image specified in the source argument can't be accessed with current security settings. For more information, see View my privacy options in the Microsoft Office Trust Center.

Python in Excel

Go to your privacy settings to allow Microsoft 365 connected experiences, then try again. For more information about connected experiences, see Connected experiences in Microsoft 365.

You have exceeded the allowed Python usage limit for one of the following reasons: 

  • You have too many untrusted workbooks open that contain Python formulas. Close some workbooks and try again.

  • You have exceeded your daily quota of Python usage.

  • You have exceeded your monthly quota of Python usage.

You are logged in with an unsupported account type. Log in with a different account and try again.

The compute resource was recycled and the attempt to automatically retry failed.

Try refreshing the connection with the Microsoft Cloud by resetting the Python runtime. From the Formulas tab, in the Python group select Reset runtime. Or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F9.

Partial and manual calculation modes require a Python in Excel add-on license when used to calculate Python formulas. Use automatic calculation mode to resolve this error. To learn more, see What's included in your Microsoft 365 subscription.

You have exceeded the daily quota of Python usage.

Calculating or interacting with Python formulas is not supported on this platform. For more information, see Python in Excel availability.
