Note: Channel Agent for Teams channels is currently in public preview, and features are likely to change. To learn more about Microsoft's public preview program, see Get early access to new features in Microsoft Teams.
Channel Agent uses its knowledge to create status reports for the team. Status reports are shared either as Loop files on the agent’s channel, allowing team members to review, edit, and collaborate after it's created.
Channel Agent gets its knowledge from:
-
The messages in the channel that created the agent.
-
Meeting summaries of meetings the agent was added to.
Notes:Â
-
In the agent’s settings, channel members with a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription can assign reviewers to the status report skill.
-
When reviewers are assigned, Teams automatically creates a group chat with just the status report skill’s reviewers.
-
By default, the initial reviewer is the person who created the Channel Agent.
Review and share status reports from Channel Agent
-
Once Channel Agent generates a status report, the agent sends a draft of the status report to the reviewer’s group chat first.
-
A new group chat is created automatically by Teams when reviewers are added or removed in the status report skill’s settings.
-
-
After reviewing the status report, reviewers can select the Share in ... channel button below the status report to share the status report with the agent's channel.
Channel members with a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription can edit the status report skill’s settings, like assigning reviewers, editing which information to include in status reports, and the frequency of reporting.
To learn how to change an agent’s status report settings, see How to manage Channel Agent's settings.
