How to start breakout rooms

Breakout rooms can only be set up on a Teams desktop client by the meeting organizer. However, mobile and web clients work fine in the breakout rooms.  

1. Select Breakout rooms on the meeting control bar.

2. Select the number of rooms you want (50 max), and how you want to assign rooms:

   • Automatically (Teams assigns rooms).

   • Manually (you assign rooms).
