In classic Outlook, you can add emojis several ways. Put your cursor where you want the emoji, then:

Press Windows keyÂ
 + . (period) to use the Windows Emoji picker. - 
                          
Type the text code if you know it. For example, for a smiley face, type :-)
 - 
                          
Select Home > Get Add-insÂ
 . Search for Emoji, choose an add-in, and select Add. Follow any additional instructions to learn how to use it.

In new Outlook, put your cursor in your message where you want the emoji.

On the Insert tab of the ribbon, select Emoji. Or you can press Windows keyÂ
 + . (period) to use the Windows Emoji picker. - 
                      
In the Expressions pane, locate the symbol you want. You can search by using keywords, or you can select a category, then scan the choices. The categories are smileys, people, animals and nature, food and drink, travel and places, objects, and symbols.

To insert a symbol, select it.Â
Tip: After inserting, you can resize a symbol by selecting it and going to the Format tab to change the font size.Â

In Outlook for Mac, put your cursor in the message where you want the emoji.

Select Edit > Emoji & Symbols, or you can or you can press Fn + E.
 - 
                      
Browse for the symbol you want. You can select a category at the bottom of the window, then scan the choices.

To insert a symbol, select it.
Tip:Â After inserting, you can resize a symbol by selecting it and changing the font size.Â
