The Poll app in Microsoft Teams is retiring, but you can still create polls in Teams using the Microsoft Forms app. With Microsoft Forms, you can create an instant, real time poll in seconds in Microsoft Teams. Post a poll in your Teams channel or quickly gather feedback in a chat pane.
Note: This feature is in the migration stage and not everyone will view this change.
Add Forms to a Teams channel or chat
-
Go to the channel or chat in which you want to include a poll. At the bottom of your Teams window, select Messaging extensions
-
Type Forms in the search box or find the Forms app by choosing More apps.
-
Select Forms and click Add. You'll see the new Forms app on your Teams app list or at the bottom of your Teams window.
The Microsoft Forms app works the same as the Poll app, but with additional features like better collaboration, intelligent suggestions, and privacy tools.
Note: Note: If you or your organization created polls through the Poll app, you’ll still be able to access your previous Poll cards in Teams chat and people can still respond to them. Your previous polls won’t be deleted, but we suggest that you download the previous poll results as a backup file.
