Manage pages and loop components in channels
Collaborate with pages and Loop components in private, public, and shared channel conversations. Once a page is created or a Loop component is sent, all users who have access to the channel will be able to see and contribute to it.

Create a new page in a channel

Find the channel you want to work in and select Add a tabÂ
in the channel header. -
Select New page
. -
Start creating!
Tip:Â You can find all pages created through a channel in that channel's Shared tab.
Link an existing page to a channel

In the Loop page you want to copy, select Share > Page link.

Go to the channel and select Add a tabÂ
 > Existing page . -
Paste your Loop page link into the text box, and select Add page.
Share a channel page
Right-click the channel page name in the channel header, and select Copy link to tabÂ
When the recipient follows the link, they'll be taken directly to the channel page.
Note:Â Make sure the people you're sharing the page with have access to the channel.
Delete a channel page
To delete the tab:
Right click on the tab of the page you want to delete, and select RemoveÂ
To delete the content:

Locate the Loop page in SharePoint.

Hover over the item and select More optionsÂ
 > Delete, then confirm you want to Delete again.
If needed, go into the recycling bin in the channel's SharePoint, right click on the file, and select Delete to delete permanently.
Create and share a new Loop componentÂ

In the channel post compose box, select Loop componentsÂ
. -
Select the type of component you want to insert into your message. For example, select Checklist or Task list to create and share a list of to-dos with the channel.

Enter content into the component. When you're ready to share, select SendÂ
. Everyone in the channel conversation will be able to edit.
Tips:Â

@Mention people inside the Loop component to show where you'd like them to contribute. They'll get a notification in their activity feed that brings them right to the component.

Use your keyboard to add a loop paragraph by typing /loop in the compose box then press Enter. See Use commands in Microsoft Teams for more keyboard shortcuts.
Edit a Loop component
Simply click where you want to add or edit content and start typing.
When editing, you can type / to insert things like an @mention, date, or even a component. If you want to comment on existing text vs. edit it, type //. This will attribute the comment to you.
Tip: Pin the message containing your live component in your channel's info pane for easy access. To do so, select More optionsÂ
Delete a Loop component
If you're the sender of a Loop component in a channel conversation, you can delete it by selecting More optionsÂ
This action deletes the chat message. To delete the file, open the storage location. For components created in a channel, you can find the file in the Shared tab in the Shared Documents folder.Â
View activity and access
If others are editing while you’re viewing the component, you’ll see different colored cursors within the text and you’ll possibly see text being edited as well.
Profile pictures appear in the upper-right corner to let you know who is viewing, editing, or has recently edited the component. Hover your cursor over any profile picture for details.

Apply sensitivity labels
If your organization has configured sensitivity labels, you can set, apply, and view them to classify and protect content in Loop components shared in messages.Â

Go to the top left corner of the component and select the dropdown.

Choose the appropriate label

Select Apply. ​​​​​​​
Share a Loop component in another channel or chat

Go to the top right corner of the component and select Copy component
. -
Switch to the channel or chat where you'd like to share the component.

Go to the box where you type a message, and press Ctrl + V to paste your Loop component into an empty channel or chat.
The people in your original channel or chat and in this additional channel or chat will be able to edit the content. No matter where people are editing, the component will always show the latest updates.
View and edit the file on Microsoft 365
Loop components are automatically saved to OneDrive once sent in a channel or chat. Here’s how to navigate to the file in OneDrive:
1. Select the linked filename at the top your Loop component.
2. The file opens in OneDrive, where you can view and co-edit the content.

Send a Loop component

From the channel you want to share to, tap More > Page.

Start typing, or type / to select and insert a template.

When you've entered content into the component and are ready to share, tap Send.
Edit a Loop component

Tap on a Loop component to open it for editing.

Add to or edit the component.

Tap Back <. The component will show your latest updates.
