If you previously had a non-genuine version of Office or Microsoft 365, and then you recently purchased a genuine version of Microsoft 365, but features such as Dictate, Designer, and Editor aren't showing up in your Office apps, do the following to help resolve this.
1. Check that you have Microsoft 365
The first step is to check that you have an active subscription for Microsoft 365. How you do this depends which subscription of Microsoft 365 you have. Follow the steps below for your version:
Microsoft 365 Family or Personal
-
Go to Services & subscriptions on your Microsoft account dashboard. Be sure to sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your subscription.
-
If you have an active Microsoft 365 subscription, you should see it at the top of the page.
If you don't see it, be sure you're signed in using the correct account
Microsoft 365 for business
-
Go to the My Account dashboard of your organization and if you're not already signed in, sign in with your work or school account.
-
On the Subscriptions tile, select View. Under licenses, you should see the name of your subscription (such as Microsoft 365 or Office 365).
If you don't see it, contact your IT admin.
